Putting the highlights in your hair can hide the gray, making your hair look fuller, and bring out skin tone and eye color. Snippets highlight is putting a lighter color (lighter than your natural hair color) to your hair. All the colors do not look good on the highlights every hair color though. It is important to find the right color to highlight your hair color to enhance your features and hair color.
Instructions
- Studies of natural hair color, skin color and eye color. Decide whether you want to emphasize to the light or strong. For lighter skin color, you’ll want a darker color of the highlight, and for darker skin tones, you will want to use a lighter color highlight. If you have light colored eyes, dark hair color will help your eyes stand out.
- Add blonde highlights to light brown and blond hair. Light shading of the hair you have you should go lighter on the highlights. If you have very blonde hair color, you may want to use the color brown lowlights to blend your hair.
- Highlight your hair the color of caramel or red if you have dark brown hair. The colors look natural in brown hair.
- Went only three or fewer shades lighter than your natural hair color if you have dark brown or black hair. Highlight color that matches the darker red hair and the tortoise.
- Get brown, black or light blonde highlights for red hair. If the soft tones of red, the blonde may be your best choice.
- Go to a hair salon and ask to see a sample of hair color. Using the recommendations in steps 2 through 4, lasting color that will blend with your hair and look in the mirror. Decide what color or colors you like the most for your personal preference and go with that color.
